Thursday, March 3, 2011 fix you

Just because it's been awhile.  Here is an official State of the House address...
On our Valentine's Date, Andy took me to the house to see the progress.
Welcome home dear!

After more sweat, blood and tears, this is what it looks like now!!!

Here is looking into the den; although that wall has been knocked out to make this whole area the living room.  I have a feeling a lot of life will happen right here...

This is the kitchen.  Can you picture it?  Subway tile on the walls, slate on the floors, a little shabby-chic look...Right now it's just the shabby look.

That tile has all been popped out, thanks to these guys!

Standing in the kitchen, looking into the guest room, and the stairs that lead to the basement.

This is taken from the den/living room looking into the downstairs bathroom and the guest room beyond that.

Heading upstairs, I love the light in this house.  And that brick fireplace to the left, which is in the kitchen.  There's no covering over that!

Upstairs bathroom, and one of our next projects: restoring the original claw foot tub.

Voila!  The master bedroom...

The boys' room.  Hopefully we will have the wheelbarrow out of there by the time they're ready to move in.  Although, I doubt they would mind...

Our 3rd full dumpster is to be hauled away in the morning!

Part of another crew that somehow is smiling at the chance to shovel the dirt INside our house...God bless you friends!

So, now we wait...
and pray...
and trust...
and wait some more...
and hope for a day to come very soon when the bank will call with the approval of a construction loan to work on this house.  I never thought this part of the process would take so long or be so difficult.  I just see how God was looking out for us when He put the verse in the Bible that says...
Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything.  Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done.  If you do this, you will experience God's peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand.  His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.  Philippians 4.6-7 (NLT)
It doesn't work to just tell myself not to worry; not that I think it will help, but I must replace it with something.  When instead I take time to name His countless blessings that reminds me of His faithfulness in our yesterdays, it crowds out the fear, the unknowns that can so quickly overtake.  When I trust enough to tell Him what concerns me today, I can know His peace that passes all understanding.

All I have seen teaches me to trust the Creator for all I have not seen.
Ralph Waldo Emerson
